Kiss
The Girls: (1997) Cassonova is a one-man evil empire. He
kidnaps his own girlies, takes them to his very own secret hideout, and
has a fan who mimics him badly (like some henchmen I've known). He
drugs them himself, locks them up himself, brings them before himself,
and does things to them that only the really bizarre websites show - in
the BOOK version. This Ashley Judd/Morgan Freeman movie, though,
takes none of the "Silence of the Lambs" chances it could have and subsequently
has almost NO onscreen action. Good flick, bad lament...

REBUTTAL:
Dead
Calm: (1989) While I’m not big on this whole “one man overlord/henchman”
gig that these 2 flix demonstrate, you gotta hand it to these guys.
And in Dead Calm, Billy Zane gets his hands on a young Nicole Kidman
while trapped alone at sea. Mind you, it’s a ploy on her part to
keep him at bay (pardon the pun), but he still pins her after ripping off
her shorts with his bare hands. Ya gotta respect that. Too
bad Sam Neil shows up late and ruins Billy’s floating utopia. Shouldn’t
he be chasin’ dinosaurs or seeing Montana? Bah, the bane that is
the good guys. Sigh.
